We are pleased to announce the 2026 dates for IMAGINE NOH, one of Discover Noh in Kyoto’s latest initiatives in creating accessible yet authentic noh and kyogen theatre programs with English introductions. This program includes a special post-performance talk with actors which offers deeper insights into noh and kyogen.
This year’s plays are specially curated to explore the intriguing dynamics of secular and sacred interpretations of religion in traditional theatre by choosing plays that feature religious context from contrasting perspectives.
