We are delighted to announce a brand-new performance series created in collaboration with the Kyoto City Tourism Association. Imagine Noh: Legends and Laughter on Stage.
The series will launch in November 2025 in Kyoto.
This program offers audiences the chance to experience the depth and beauty of noh and kyogen, the classical theatre traditions of Japan, in an accessible and welcoming format.
What to Expect
Each performance features handpicked noh and kyogen plays, carefully chosen to introduce audiences to the legends, history, and humor of Kyoto’s performing arts. To ensure everyone can fully appreciate the experience:
- English introductions will be provided by certified cultural guides.
- After-talk sessions with the performers will allow audiences to ask questions, gain insights into the stories, and connect more closely with the art.
